Center for Civic Engagement
CCE Advisory Council
In 2009, the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) reestablished the Advisory Council in response to a need for increased stakeholder input and guidance in our work. The Advisory council provides a foundation of support for the CCE by
- Serving in an advisory capacity to CCE staff
- Assisting in the development and sustainability of an effective network of relationships critical to the success of the CCE, including planning, communication, and implementation
- Periodically reviewing organizational goals and assessment results in the context of the role of civic engagement in higher education and for consistency with the university mission
- Recommending strategies for program development and expansion

Membership Opportunities
The CCE Advisory Council consists of the CCE leadership team as well as two to five members from our four main stakeholder groups: community partners, campus partners, faculty and students. Member appointments last from one to three years. A volunteer chair from amongst the council members assists in developing agendas and leading meetings. The chair serves a year term. The Advisory Council meets at least twice per semester to discuss CCE operations, goals, and outcomes.
If you are interested in learning more about the CCE Advisory Council or becoming a member, please contact Tiffanie Braun, CCE Interim Co-Director, at tiffanieb@wsu.edu or 509-335-7708.
